Turn the Wi-Fi off if you like. Chat, memory, documents and exports keep working on your Mac.

Nothing you type touches the network

In hYYa Vault mode, your conversations, documents, memory and files never reach hYYa’s servers or any third-party cloud AI — the model runs on your own Mac. hYYa Vault publishes the complete list of every connection it can make, and everything optional — Web Search, Connections, signing in to hYYa Cloud — stays off until you switch it on, each behind its own consent card. Questions about offline AI on a Mac

Can I run AI offline on my Mac?

Yes. hYYa Vault, the on-device engine in the hYYa ai app, runs an AI model on your Mac. Download a model once, and chat, memory, document questions and exports keep working with no internet connection.

Is it really private?

In hYYa Vault mode, nothing you type, store or open is sent to hYYa's servers or to any cloud AI. Your conversations, memory and files live on your Mac, and deleting the app removes them — there is no server copy.

Do I need an account?

No. You can chat, read your documents, build exports and measure a drawing without one. Signing in to a hYYa Cloud account is optional and only adds features that need the internet.

Is it free?

Yes. hYYa Vault has no subscription and no one-time unlock. hYYa Cloud, the online companion in the same app, is a paid plan for when you want frontier AI models from several labs.

Which Macs does it run on?

Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 26 or later.

Which AI models can I use?

Any model in hYYa Vault's signature-verified catalogue, or one you add by name. The model downloads once and then runs locally on your Mac.

Can it read my PDFs and documents?

Yes. Drop in PDFs, photos and files and ask about them; each answer shows where in your document it came from.

Can it use my own tools?

Yes, through MCP. Connect MCP tool servers and hYYa Vault can use them on your Mac, with each call shown to you and approved individually — no internet and no hYYa account needed.

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

It is gone. All inference, history and files live on your Mac, and there is no server copy.
